Oh Belieber Weekend is on!!

I just booked my ticket to head to New York for the weekend at the end of May, when finals are over and before summer school starts. Cody is coming over from Boston and he and Lindsay and I are going to have such a great weekend!! The Justin Bieber movie comes out on DVD May 13th and we are planning on a group viewing. That is seriously what the entire weekend's plans are based around. Both Lindsay and Cody have seen the movie, I clearly have not. Apparently I will laugh and cry and have a newfound respect for this uber popular 17 year old at the end of it. I will say, I did watch a few clips on YouTube and seeing a little baby 3 year old drumming away is pretty darn adorable. I think there will be some karaoke that weekend and I am sure a few late nights and loads of laughs. I am really looking forward to the break from life and knowing I will have another semester (one of the last actually) behind me and just be able to hang out with friends that I have known for soooo many years now. It will be a much needed weekend of fun!!

She was Born this Way...

This week I went to the Lady Gaga concert. I can safely say that it was the most bizarre thing I have ever been to. Totally worth the money and the experience. She performs for a solid 2 hours which is pretty amazing, but she is just such a character. I am not a "little monster" by any means so maybe it was just normal to everyone else, but my chin was dropped during the majority of the concert. Robin came with me...she is always my concert going buddy. We had fun and it was such an entertaining show, it was just a trip. I will say this, for playing in an arena, she makes it seem like a smaller venue because she just sits and plays the piano and talks a lot. It becomes a very personal concert experience because she talks so much, so I imagine you could see her multiple times and get a different show every single time. The costumes were obviously ridiculous, but it was moreso just what she was saying and doing and the whole thing. Bizarre...thats really the best way I can describe it. Haha. A really fun night nonetheless. Although there were many 10-14 year olds there and after seeing the show, I would NEVER take my child to that. It was very dirty, tons of cursing and wasn't over till midnight. On a Wednesday! Not appropriate for a child in my opinion. Maybe I am just getting old :)

2011...Worst Blogger Ever!!

Well, I don't know where to start because apparently I don't ever blog anymore. I was re-motivated by looking at my friend Emily's blog. Hers is amazing though and interesting...she is doing a trauma rotation in med school, far more exciting than what I do on a day to day basis. I have been working and schooling and sleeping. No one really wants to read about that. I am done with school this summer (supposedly) and that is probably the most exciting thing to report! Currently on Spring Break and leaving the week after for a bachelorette party for my friend Jana in Colorado. We are going to attempt to ski. Well, other people might actually be skiing, I personally will just be attempting. It should be humorous to say the least...I will definitely post pictures!

I just finished reading Jodi Picoult's new book 'Sing Me Home' and it was pretty wonderful, like all of her books. I always look forward to March when she releases a new one. I am loving Adele's new album at the moment and rocking out to 'Rolling In The Deep' on a daily basis. I am obsessed with all shows on Bravo, but specifically 'Bethenny Ever After.' She makes me laugh aloud alone my couch every single Monday night. I also am very into The Bachelor this season (per usual) and am very interested to see who the winner is going to be this season. The finale is next week and I have a feeling I will be disappointed in his choice. The good news is, they live in Austin so I will see them about town and can give Brad bad looks or something :)

Work is the same, super busy, but I still love my bald kids. I am volunteering at St. Baldricks again next week for the 3rd year in a row. I am really excited, it is just such a great event! I have also started observing at an Orthotic & Prosthetic clinic on Mondays, its pretty amazing. I am really excited that I have chosen this to be my new career and also relieved that I am liking it more than I even thought I would. I am hoping to spend more time there and really be able to get involved before starting school in the Fall to get my certification.

The crawfish boil date has been set and I already cannot wait. Its crazy that we are already well into March!!

Other than that, just trying to get through the semester, finish applying for O&P school and working working working. Always staying busy and sleeping when I can :)
