my stinking hard drive crashed on my computer and therefore i have no computer to blog on. that is sad. i am sure there are tens and tens of people out there who have actually missed me in the blogging world. i have actually missed doing it a little bit. i had gotten really good at being regular. so much has happened since i last posted.
i went home for mothers day weekend and it was such a great time. i felt like i was in wfalls for so long, but i had something great every single day. friday night i just hung out with my mom and relaxed, for some reason wfalls always makes me really tired. i dont know why. i think its cause i am not working or doing anything when i am there. plus, its not really THAT exciting of a city. then saturday was carly's nursing school graduation...another big reason i went home for the weekend. that was somewhat of an all day affair with a dinner afterwards. i always have such a great time with the jennings family - until they start talking about how we were ugly children and bad dressers. um, i am pretty sure neon was really hip in the early 90s. thats not my fault. then saturday night we all went out to celebrate carly and it turned into such a night. tyler was in town and so he and andy and me and carly and slate all started out at neon spur and it just turned into an all night affair from there. i was out at bars and random house parties till 4am. who does that at 26!?? i should know better, i am far too old for that. thank goodness i work the night shift. then i was getting phone calls from the west coast throughout the night and one that lasted until well after 5am. what can i say?? party animal i am. mothers day was great, mom cried at her gift which always makes me feel like i did an awesome job. monday i got to hang out with sara walker and see her pregnant belly and cade, we had such a great time. then on tuesday i got to see dustin and minda and little baby fischer. he was such a cutie and so much fun to get to catch up with them. i will post pictures of me and fischer when i get my computer up and running. then i drove to ft. worth on tuesday night to watch american idol with lindsay and allison and we invited tyler and andy over for dinner and made them dinner. we suckered them into watching AI and then we all went out and played pool and hung out. it was such a random and fun tuesday night. i drove home on wed morning and was quickily back in the real world with work and whatnot.
so lets see, since then i have just been working and staying way too busy for my own good. started talking to jwill out in san diego and randomly booked a plane ticket to go out there for a long weekend. just got back from there on sunday night. it was amazing. i really need to move to california. its pretty much impossible to not be happy there. how can you not smile when its so beautiful all the time and the ocean is right there?? i loved it. its officially in my new 2 year plan to finish nursing school and get out there as fast as possible. thank goodness i want to be a nurse and can get a job anywhere i choose. i love job security. hahahaha. so we just hung out and relaxed and ate and went for bike rides and took naps and saw movies. it was seriously the perfect vacation. i had never been to san diego and we just had a blast. yea for random trips and new friends!!
now i am back, working, and trying to plan more trips as soon as possible. i need to go on a vacation at least once a month. bonnaroo is coming up in less than 2 weeks which is just insane. i need to find a tent and a sleeping bag. oops. i am really looking forward to it.
in other news, keaton is moving to austin!! YEA!! this is such HUGE news and so freaking exciting for me. i love my little brother and i cannot wait to have him here with me. we are gonna have a great year. and p.s. his birthday is today so HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEATON!! 22 years old is insane to me. i think he is always 4. or maybe i just wish he always was...he was such a cute kid.
and the most exciting news of the past 3 weeks...my new phone. hahahahaha. i caved and was talked into getting the blackberry curve and its probably one of the best decisions i have ever made. i have it all fixed up where it functions perfectly and i love it so much. its pretty much glued to my hand so i am afraid its gonna make me lose friends and possibly my job. i need to learn some self control. i am not as bad as some people, but its bad.
i am hoping to get my hard drive in the mail in the next few days and then i will be back in the world internet communication. phew. thank goodness for the blackberry yet again so i can have the internet at my fingertips. looooove it.
