so, once again, i had friday and saturday off work - kinda strange. strange and very nice. friday i laid around for most of the day and took naps, but i did manage to run a few important errands and get a couple of things done...so at least i was productive. somewhat. and then friday night was a lingerie shower for a bunch of the girls from work who are getting married in the next few months. i picked up alyssa and we went down to katie's house where the party was being held. we had so much fun. it was a great group of girls and lots of drinks and great food. mainly lots of laughing, and we all know thats my favorite thing to do. we played a hilarious game of pictionary (use your imagination here...bacherlorette/lingerie and pictionary). the girls all got some fun presents and then proceeded to model them for us. over their clothes of course. so it was a really great party and i was glad that i wasnt working and was able to go.
then alyssa, kristen and i went downtown. i was super tired and not feeling all that great so i wasnt really keen on going, but i give into peer pressure easily, so i went. it ended up being really fun actually...we got to dance to hip hop music - clearly i love that, i do it in my own house or car on a daily basis. i just hate dancing at bars cause skeevy guys think that it is an open invitation to come and dance with you...then i awkwardly run away. nice moves. we left semi-early cause i couldnt last till 2am and i came home and watched grey's anatomy and went to sleep.
saturday morning i could not get up for the life of me. i kept trying to wake up and get out of bed and my body just did not want to leave my cozy bed. so i ended up sleeping till 11!! thats crazy. and i got up and walked lexi and then was still so tired, i got all covered up back on the couch and dozed for like another hour. i am lazy! then i made up for the laziness because i had a soccer game to go play. i havent played soccer in so long, but somehow alyssa convinced me that i should join the team she plays on...so i did. at first when i got out there i was super hesitant and not sure about playing, but once i kicked the ball a few times, i ended up having so much fun. we lost 2-1, but i had a great time running around and getting sweaty.
home for a couple of hours and what do i do?? take a nap on the couch!! why all the sleeping?? then it was time for grub club! i havent seen sarah or kat in 3 weeks...that is far too long. sarah did drop by on friday and brought me a milkshake - which was awesome - and we were able to catch up a little, but i hadnt seen the whole group in forever. we all went to kat and TA's house and had an awesome meal. kat did a great job with dinner, i was wanting to eat seconds, but i was so full i couldnt fit any more food in my belly. it was so great to see them and talk and laugh and make fun and see what was going on in everyone's lives. like the fact that kat and TA are buying a house!! crazy!! so much is going on with everyone these days...all growing up and whatnot. so weird...and exciting.
got home and wanted to go to bed early, but somehow it was 2am and i was still awake. luckily we gained an hour so i ended up going to bed around 1:30...which didnt seem that late. hahaha. slept in and just got up and now i am headed to a long day at work. 12 hours. blah. i am a little sad because there are two really great games today that i wanted to watch. the two undefeated teams - indianapolis and new england - are playing and then the sunday night game is dallas versus philadelphia. ugh...work!!! i am going to sneak into an empty room and watch a lot of football today...or take a lot of bathroom breaks or something...
