and by popular demand...i am pretty sure i mean, one person. regardless, here i am. so, my computer completely crashed and burned a week ago and i have been playing phone tag with the guy from dell to get it fixed...stupid dell. bottom line is that it still isnt working and i borrowed alyssa's computer while she is honeymooning it in costa rica and i am on the internet at work right now. i love to beat the system...you wont get me down dell!!
thanksgiving was pretty uneventful, i had to work the day before, the day of, and the day after. the families up at work were really sweet in sharing their meals with us and it was a good day and fairly slow. the weather turned super cold that day too it actually seemed like it was a holiday. unfortunately, the weather has stayed really cold and i am ready for it to warm up again...i hate going outside in the mornings to walk lexi.
and speaking of cold weather, that brings me to my next topic...my heat in my house. it is so amazing and so nice and toasty warm to the point where sometimes i even get to hot and i sleep in a tank top and underwear most of the time...well, of course it gets freezing cold this weekend and rainy and yucky and decides to stop working. saturday night my heat just went out. miserable. it was 61 degrees in my house at one point. luckily i had space heaters from when i lived in philly so i put one facing my bed upstairs and one facing my dog downstairs. it was bearable, but not at all comfortable.
so...the weekend that my heat went out was also the weekend i had a houseguest. of course. hahaha. this past weekend was alyssa's wedding and so andy came to visit me and go to the wedding with me...super fun. he had to drive through crappy rain and sit in traffic, but he made it! we had a great time and ate awesome food and had free drinks and even danced a little bit. excellent wedding all around...then we went back to my house...my freezing house, and hung out and then he had to get up and drive home sunday morning cause of some stupid school meeting. being a graduating senior is tough.
sunday was the perfect day off - i cant remember the last sunday i had off so i was able to just lay around and nap and hang out on my couch watching football...it was amazing. i had the best time and the weather was gross and cold and rainy again so it was the perfect day to stay inside. i really dont think i did one single productive thing all day.
and now here i am in the middle of another busy week...computer still isnt fixed, but my heat is...i guess i am more appreciative of that anyway. i have 2 tests this week and a speech due...and by this week, i mean they are all due tomorrow. oops. i just remembered. and i am registering for classes for next semester. crazy.
tomorrow is a big day...2 weeks until my birthday, 3 weeks until i go home...and of course...the dallas/green bay game tomorrow night. HUGE game. i cant wait to watch it - i actually have the day off so it is gonna be pretty exciting!! go cowboys!!
