new bed!!

well, it finally happened. i bought my new bed. after talking about it non-stop for a month now, i finally went out and bought a nice new bed. i am so ridiculously excited about it. unfortunately it just means that now i have no excuse for not cleaning my room. thats okay though, i am spending the day cleaning up around my apartment and its gonna look awesome by the end of the day. i am convinced. i have already cleaned my kitchen...thats something.

so last night, work was so slow on our unit. we only had 10 kids on the whole floor and so i got floated down to the ER to help out with the craziness that was going on down there. at first i thought this sounded promising and kind of interesting, but alas, i was wrong. i got stuck in triage which basically means snotty noses and vomiting kids. super great. i took so many rectal temperatures last night, it was unreal. it was the longest 4 hours and i was so happy when it was over. triage is definitely not for me. i could probably do the cool part of the ER, the trauma part, but not the triage.

i had a huge headache so i got home and took a vicodin and went to sleep on my new bed. slept like a dream until 10am this morning. i have the day off - which is rare and amazing - and i am planning on sitting on this couch as long as possible. the cowboys play the redskins today and we all know how that is going to end. i havent been able to watch football in about 5 sundays. and i am gong to get queso and clean and just relax...thats what days off are all about.
